Nerds Go Back To School

Grateful though I am to my alma mater, the University of St. Thomas, my Liberal Arts degree turned out to be less satisfying to me than I’d orignally hoped.  And with the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic bringing some new clarity into my life, Joe and I made the decision to send me back to school!!!

We knew this decision would require us to become temporary land-lubbers, so it was not an easy decision.  But hopefully once I’m fully graduated with a Masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and my CCC-SLP certification, it will all be worth it!

And then we will return to the sea and continue on our ocean adventures.  For now, or adventures will be more in-land directed while I learn all about speech language pathology at the University of Arkansas!

Wooooooooo. Pig. Sooie!

Post-baccalaureate and M.S. here I come!

First step: Summer Physics and Statistics!  Time for this nerd to get to work studying (especially for the dreaded GRE!).  GRE Updates coming this summer…

I’m so grateful for my exceptionally patient husband, Joe, who not only was the one to encourage me to go back to school for something I’m passionate about, but he also told me I look good in “Razorback Red.”  🙂
